After almost two weeks in the hospital, Ryan convinced the doctors that his progress and improvement would be better at home. Even though he is sick, many of you know, he is very persuasive. Doctor Yeager agreed and Ryan has slept ever since we got home.

Ryan's WBC count is still low. When we left the hospital yesterday, it was 1.4. His HBC count is excellent at 11.1, and the platelets are still low at 33. We are happy to have him back home and hopefully it will allow him to rest and recuperate faster. The VOD will keep Ryan from doing any chemotherapy for at least another two weeks. Once they feel that it has healed enough we will continue treatment.

Ryan is still weak, and nothing says that more than having Blue Jackets tickets for tonight's game and Ryan telling me he doesn't think that he is strong enough to go to the game. Again, another time where Ryan is showing his growth in decision making. With and the flu and colds out there, I am happy to keep him isolated from the masses.

Thank you to all that have called, visited and just followed Ryan through the blog. The thoughts, prayers and concerns have not gone unnoticed. We want everyone to know what it means to us and Ryan to read people's comments and words of encouragement. Thanks.

Ryan just wanted to stop and say hello and tell you it was soooo good to see you the other day. You always make me smile you are such an amazing person!!!! Glad you were able to talk Dr. Yeager into letting you go home. We know you will do much better there than in the hospital. Take care of yourself and hope to maybe hear from you soon and possibly run into you at the hospital. I miss getting to see you and visiting with you.

It's good to know you are in good old GC now Ryan! You will sleep so much better at home I am sure of it! No interruptions, more comfortable pillows (I mean those pillows are terrible up there!). Staying in right now is the best thing you could do-good choice! It is the peak of flu season and we too are keeping Brayden away from as many people as possible, as crazy as it makes me being home with all 3 kids all day everyday, I know it's what we have to do for the time being. Sounds like things are looking up.
Prayers are heading your way from the Bueter's!!!

We're friends of Joe and Holly's and Doug and Lori's. You and I also chattd for a few minutes at the fashion show. So while it seems you're being stalked...I promise you - we've met! BTW, for anyone who wonders - I can definitely attest to how FABULOUS Ryan looks in his suit! Maybe we should sell tickets to see you in person. :-)

I just wanted to drop by and say "Glad you're home!" Good for you for beating down Dr. Nick. I wonder how much easier they'd learn to cave if they spent a night or two in there! (Beep, pester...poke poke....beep, lights...beep - oh yeah, that's restful...)

Anyway, we wanted you to know, we're cheering for you, and sending you lots of cyber hugs.

Take care and get strong!
